Ultrasonic Sensor HC-SR04

The ultrasonic distance measurement sensor is an affordable and fully functional solution for a wide range of distance-sensing applications. It operates by transmitting an ultrasonic pulse and calculating the time of flight of the echo reflected from an object. Since the speed of ultrasonic waves in air is constant, the measured distance is determined by the time taken for the pulse to return.

The module processes this information internally and generates an output pulse whose width corresponds to the detected distance, making it easy to interface with microcontrollers and development boards.
